Thank you for your comment on "Toothed and Thorny". That piece, and "The Object of Desire" are part of sequence I'm working on of monologues from the perspective of things (which I'm defining as anything that would ordinarily take the pronoun "it).

Also, since you're interested in Joyce, you might be interested in the project I'm facilitating at http://openjoyce.com/sites/opening-ulysses/

    Nonnie Augustine – Jun 10, 2013

    Gloria Garfunkel – Feb 18, 2013

Fish Eye: All really interesting and wise thoughts to ponder, the similarities and differences of skill-building and sustaining in all these arenas. Earlier in life I was a painter and found that taking breaks and just looking for awhile improved my work more than constant practice. There also may be stages in the development of an art or skill requiring more or less "doing."

    Gloria Garfunkel – Feb 09, 2013

Thank you for your comment and validation on Amends.

    Janice D. Soderling – Feb 07, 2013

Amanda: Here is one of the most beautiful eulogies I have ever read. It was written for and about Rebecca. You will know this remarkable little girl a little better if you read it: http://www.panspermia.org/waters20010107.htm

    Gessy Alvarez – Dec 26, 2012

Thank you for reading "Menthol." And welcome to Fictionaut!

    Gloria Garfunkel – Dec 25, 2012

I really liked your comment on Snowflake. I don't think the Holocaust filtered down unless parent made strong efforts to do so. I was the opposite. I protected my children from knowing about it as long as possible.

    Gloria Garfunkel – Oct 12, 2012

Dialogue stories are lots of fun. When I think about it, mine always involve two lovers and a possessive animal. Yes, of course it has a lot to do with Carver. I was just trying to give Con a hard time for pointing it out.

    Marcy Dermansky – Sep 02, 2012
