Amanda, thanks for your constant support reading and commenting, and thanks again for including me in Miscreant. Cheers from the sunny side of the moon!
Thanks, Amanda, for your kind reception for "consolations." Speaking of nailing it, I listened yesterday to your reading of "Poem for a Poet.": Now that was nailed! both the poem and your delivery, really fine.
Thank you Amanda for visiting, A Child's Veil. I have been hoping more parents would be upfront with the truth and tell their kids like it really is, especially at an age where the child can make their own choice on how to go forward.
Thank you, Amanda for the wonderful and thoughtful comment on the rabbit micro/poem! You are so very kind and exquisitely generous. I will definitely write something more up to date in your honor without those blasted number! Pax, Amy
Thanks Amanda, for your comment and suggestion on "Encore." Interesting choices we make when trying to fulfill the requirements of a prompt. If I work this story further, I will definitely take another look at that first sentence!

Thank you for your comments and fave on Hero Song. I'm glad those lines resonated with you. They were hard to write at the time. Or easy to write, but hard to leave on the page. :-)
Thanks for your comment on Spinning. I've been reading a recent anthology of essays on the Eco-Ability Movement, and what you said about agency makes me think some of that is coming through in this series.
Thank you for your comment on "Toothed and Thorny". That piece, and "The Object of Desire" are part of sequence I'm working on of monologues from the perspective of things (which I'm defining as anything that would ordinarily take the pronoun "it).
Thank you for reading and commenting on Michelle from Southport, Amanda. I think I live for comments sometimes. Which of your stories has the inhuman character?
Thank you for your kind comments about My Great Uncle Jerry, Amanda. I tried writing that poem a dozen times before thinking of using the villanelle form. Nothing worked. Then, of course, the form made me crazy--so I really appreciate what you had to say!
We dragons need to stick together, although we are rather solitary in our flight. Thank you so much for reading my poem, Don't Forgive Me. It's very much appreciated.
Thanks, Amanda, for commenting on Wild Horses, though 'terribly, terribly clever' can be taken by me in terribly different ways. Music plays a part in many of my stories. I'm glad to see your interest in that connection, too.
Fish Eye: All really interesting and wise thoughts to ponder, the similarities and differences of skill-building and sustaining in all these arenas. Earlier in life I was a painter and found that taking breaks and just looking for awhile improved my work more than constant practice. There also may be stages in the development of an art or skill requiring more or less "doing."
Amanda: Here is one of the most beautiful eulogies I have ever read. It was written for and about Rebecca. You will know this remarkable little girl a little better if you read it: http://www.panspermia.org/waters20010107.htm
I really liked your comment on Snowflake. I don't think the Holocaust filtered down unless parent made strong efforts to do so. I was the opposite. I protected my children from knowing about it as long as possible.
Dialogue stories are lots of fun. When I think about it, mine always involve two lovers and a possessive animal. Yes, of course it has a lot to do with Carver. I was just trying to give Con a hard time for pointing it out.
Thanks for the review.
Thank you for what you said about my poem.
