dawn--green lights, gun shots
rust, disassemble, eat the clocks
life has an off-kilter time table
screw everything, youth is plinko
still don't know the answer
to the never ever die riddle
noon--no one gets beheaded for fun
instant rain, instant fucked, sugar rim
meet me at the docks for lunch
dusk--raise your hand if you have
questions in the tornado
kick those feet, break all
the upmost windows
moonrise--climbs the slimes
here comes the long night
arms in a V, collapsing
through the duck feather bed
never stop to dream
live forever, exposed teeth
you point, I'll bleed.
Love these lines in particular: "still don't know the answer / to the never ever die riddle"
Clever and original.*
Carpe diem.
Can't even begin to identify why, but I really like this.
Especially liked this: "raise your hand if you have
questions in the tornado"
"moonrise--climbs the slimes
here comes the long night
arms in a V, collapsing
through the duck feather bed"

What this feels like to me is beat poetry without the posing or the weird goatees. Feels young in the best way, as in
"kick those feet, break all
the upmost windows"
Like the rhythm of this. *
Thanks for this. Going now to eat the clock.

lovely writing! ***
thank you all y'all.
Sally: I hear you on "I don't know why" that's how I live my life, every day, I'm just dazed and feeling around.
Carol: Yes! It is like beat poetry, Mos def, I have to shave for work or I'd totally have one of those weirdo beard things that hides my damn face. Alas!
Bil: EAT THE CLOCKS! And, EAT THE RICH!
Does have a jazzy be bop beat to it, and the language is hipster all the way, Bud! Sly poem, sliding out like ooze. Fave!
What Robert said. *
"eat the clocks" Love it, what a concept.
Killing time with your teeth. *
