What I left out was stunning. The gentleman and his dog left the beach about the same time I did. I was loading driftwood, shells and my camera stuff in the car. Sat there to watch them. He led the dog to the side of the truck, unleashed him. The dog sat. The man unloaded a ramp for the dog to board the truck and settle into his seat. I bawled for ten minutes before I could drive! :)
Ha, this old man (& his old male whippet) love this. Tho neither of us recognize ourselves in the poem, of course. But I do have a 1935 Ford pickup! (And in summer during haying the tops of my ears sometimes get sunburned.) A nice piece, Kitty.
Yup, you got it.
Excellent description of the two.
