I'd written them off.
Most of the TV crowd
must have written them off.
Sometimes, the plan emerges
realized at the end when
a sequence of excellent moments
alters a trajectory
everyone watching
had thought inevitable.
We will see these moments again
captured in the pixilated way
we have now of remembering.
And no one died achieving aristeia
in this battle. We have come
at least some little distance.

I like the twist on sports. Good closing.
Ever since the no-step-on-his-face-and-twist cheer rule went into effect.
Yes, this:
"Sometimes, the plan emerges
realized at the end when
a sequence of excellent moments
alters a trajectory
everyone watching
had thought inevitable."
Oh, I did hafta Google a word, tho--just one. *
Thank you, Amanda, Sam and Matt.
Thought of this when watching NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. launch his helmet clad body into a Panthers defender in retaliation for a perceived slight, I guess. One game suspension rights the wrong and sanctions the violence.*
Thank you, Gary." I sing the wrath of brave Achilles"
