Optical Delusion
by Gary Hardaway
Veiled by tenuous clouds and dirty air,
the sun this early morning can be
looked at straight on, its pale yellow disk
expanded by the lens of atmosphere.
One imagines it close and cool enough
to swallow, a glowing holy host of summer.

Thanks, Epiphany.
This I truly enjoyed. Swallowed, so to speak. Nice work Gary.
