I can really "hear" this and I like what I hear. Makes me think of Alice through the Looking Glass, for some reason.
Yes.
Love this.*
Like the shape and truth of this, David (and the fact that it's centered!).
Says it all. *
That sounds about right.
Connects in my head to Rumi -
"I have lived on the lip of insanity, wanting to know reasons, knocking on a door.
It opens. I've been knocking from the inside."
I like the two levels of reality here presented in the opening line's connection to the title. Also, like the secret door. *
"looking all the time for that secret door." Right! (despite the fact that the skull has five openings! That's the real mystery. How come we can't just walk out those open doors?!!)
This is so perfectly formed and shaped. Love how you do that. *
This is nice, all the comments and stars. So glad you all liked this piece.
All of the above, plus I, too, am sick to death of that damned cliché. *
So much for that old saying. *
Thanks Mathew and Jake for checking this out, much appreciated.
