Does flight exhilarate the sparrows
or is it unremarkable for them
as walking from the car to office
is for me, routine, an act of dull
necessity I undertake because
I can and must so I can eat?

I sometimes think the little rascals are happier than us--or me, anyways. They certainly get more exercise. *
The sparrows by the UW's Burke Museum outdoor patio seem to delight in their beggary & pecking.
