Thanks for the comment on Time to Rest! I'm glad it worked for you. Someone commented to me elsewhere that the world would be better off without humans, and that is not what I intended with this piece. Which is why I ask... I think we belong here as much as any other creatures, we just need to make peace and quiet down a bit. You know? :)

Mark Krieger – Jul 24, 2010

Thanks for reading my story Kari. It seems monolithic in length contrast to all the other Fictionautian stories you find out there, but oh well. I've come to hate that story of mine Song of the Needle. It's through the POV of the little kid and i'm afraid it ended up sounding a little too in Golden Books direction... I have other stuff (more recent) coming out in Narrative, Tampa Review and Shamballa Sun that i'll post when they're in print. Hopefully you and others can check them out. And, hopefully they won't embarrass me as much... . thanks again.

George LaCas – Jul 02, 2010

Thanks, Kari! I hope you got as much of a kick out of reading "The Naked Mountain" as I did writing it.

George LaCas – Jul 02, 2010

Hmm...well, if you want to plunge into the "Hotel Chelsea" saga you could start with Scene 1. If you want something short that people seemed to like, there's "Minerva Gets Pierced by Love." But my personal favorite is "The Naked Mountain", which is all about the writing process, told as a parable (which didn't make anybody mad, either, I'm sad to say). I'll say this much about Fictionaut: it sure has increased my writing output!

George LaCas – Jul 02, 2010

My pleasure, Kari. You write with an enviable care and respect for language which others would do well to imitate.
