I write Cold-Water Swimmers: A Blog about Nature, Food -- And Food from Nature. It's about foraging, food, hiking, and being outdoors.

Why do you write?

hunger for stories, liking to see what lights us all up.

Lorrie Moore, Jonathan Lethem, Michael Chabon, Deborah Eisenberg, Alice Munro, John Updike, Ehud Havazelet, Rosinna Lippi, Rick Bass, Amos Oz.

Motherless Brooklyn, all Lorrie Moore stories, Augie March, Heidi, Anne of Green Gables, My Friend Flicka, The Yearling.

I also like the stories in certain cinema, like in "Tiny Furniture" by Lena Dunham, and lots of other films.
