Hi Martha,
Thanks for your kind words about "Flatlander's Suite." The experience that inspired that piece was itself sort of ghastly so I'm very glad that mood came through. Thanks again for the feedback!
Martha - thanks for the comments on Kill Allan - your reading of it is exactly what I hoped for. From what as an adult is a humorous anecdote but was real feelings at the time, to the hate building up as the years & incidents got worse - to a realization that he was harmed worse than me, with the absolute impossibility forced on him by circumstances - no kid could or should have to cope with it, He always protected me too, fiercely at times, at that shows his true love. Thank You again!
Hi, Martha! Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment on my rejection letters that I totally made up because they never ever really happened, and if they had, not to me, nosiree bob. Which is an expression, like 'knee slapping funny,' that I will never understand.
Martha, I agree with you about the poor girl. It was clear, too, that she HAD been a very pretty girl. I don't know. I just want to shake my head. Glad you like cats!
Martha, I'm so glad you liked "The man who killed Molly Bloom." It was an experiment and it seems not to have failed. I love it when that happens. But you know all about that, I am sure.
Martha, You must be psycho! You really nailed the character in "Camp 7." An anxious child indeed. (And guess what? That child was me!) Thank you so much.
Thank you for reading "The Nightly Dance". I am much better now -- medication and proper sleep have done wonders. I wrote that piece two months ago; I vowed to write something every day to capture the experience, even when my hands were shaking too hard to type properly. It was such an awful time, and I'm glad I'm not there anymore.
Hi Martha, thank you for your comments about "Peanut Time" and "Minerva Gets Pierced by Love." Don't worry - that peanut is right under your sofa, or behind your stove.
