About Me

I live in Minneapolis, but grew up in Albuquerque. I ride my bike in summer and in winter (fall and spring, too). I make things with my hands (stories, clothing, cross stitch, robots). I love singing loudly by myself. I wear a lot of sequins and safety gear.

I am a professional choreographer and performer around Minneapolis. I also have an office job. Like you do.

I have a story up at Jersey Devil Press: http://www.jerseydevilpress.com/archives/issue-eight-may-2010/king_old-man-and-the-shark/

Why do you write?

Food fuels me. Music, dancing, being outside, staying up too late, smiling at strangers and other things also fuel me.

===

I love reading. I love words and languages and geeking out over both.

Sometimes I write out of some belief that I will be better off for having done it, the world will be better off for me having done it, people will love me, I'll finally reach my greatest potential, my parents will be proud, I'll feel contentment beyond my wildest dreams, you know. It's bullshit.

Sometimes I write because I have trained myself to think I should be writing.
