About Me

My short stories and poems have appeared in Atlanta Review, CutThroat, New Poets of the American West, Orbis, Pearl, Pilgrimage, Poetry East, South Dakota Review, Underground Voices, Word Riot, and others.

My fiction received an Honorable Mention in New Letters’ 2010 Alexander Patterson Cappon Fiction Award and was a finalist in the 2011 Blue Mesa Review Fiction Contest. Several of my stories have been finalists for Glimmer Train awards. My short story collection was a semifinalist for the Iowa Short Fiction Award. My poetry collection was a semifinalist in the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award.

I live in Colorado with my husband and son.
