Thanks Barry for enjoying y story "Shower". I haven't haqd access to a computer and then the hurrication thing we all went on here in LA. My protagonist James continues his exploits in series of stories I'm working on and will soon finish. "I walk with the Absurd" published in 3:AM too and a few more yet to be published, but hopefully will be in a collection soon. Thanks again Barry and I look forward to reading your work as well.
Thanks for sharing your response to Stuck Shut. I love the questions it provoked in you. And I'm delighted by the mention of Atwood in a discussion of something I wrote!
Barry - thanks for the great words on Paper House. Isn't that what we try to achieve as writers? To evoke any memory, emotion. Good to know this one did some of that for you.
Hi Barry. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment on my story Losing Found Things. Has to be the best comment I've ever seen. Really, thank you so much. It means a lot to me.
Barry, thanks so much for your thoughtful comments on "A Matter of the Heart." That was quite a boost. I'm looking forward to reading your work. ...and sorry about the Canucks.
BArry, Erin KElly an editor for Flash Fiction Chronicles is trying to track you down to interview you for "Hat Trick." Could you get in touch with me? Gay Degani gaydegani@yahoo.com thanks!
Thank you very much for the thoughtful comment on 'Mulch.'
I'm not entirely convinced a lot of people in general don't float about, more in their voices than their bodies. (But I entirely take your point on the need to ground characters - and agree. So thanks again.)
Ah, Barry, thank you for the kind words about "A Backpack of Anger". And the answer is yes, thought about it, worked on it for eight year with much help from someone who is now a dear friend and continue to do so through my writing. Thanks for asking. Shows you are a caring person. . . .Mar
Thanks once again, Barry for the read and perceptive comment on " Confessions..." If you don't post something once a week or more frequently here you can begin to feel like a bit of a back number, so it was nice to be--at least momentarily--rescued from oblivion.
"Period Piece" was a bit of a slog, but ultimately worth every second( three, counting the two when I missed it completely.) Plagiarism Lawsuits definitely the way to go, a kind of reverse class action, where you sue absolutely everyone. OOps, another buck for Barry won't make that mistake again
Thanks for the kind "ostranenie" remark...When I considered where this came from ( Tolstoi's hat-clad horse) it's one of the best things that's ever been said about anything I've
written.
Barry,
Thank you for the kind reflections on "Fifth of July." I appreciate you taking the time. Pleased to make your (virtual) acquaintance here.
Cheers.

Hey, Barry, thanks for the kind (and metaphorically apt) words about my story. You may be onto something about my characters wandering around in different dimensions--have to look into that.
Barry, I have no right to get a comment more inspiring than the one you left on Good Kids, Bad Endings. I love the "lurks behind the scratches in the mirror" - so good. Having two children has made me NEED to write, otherwise I'd be even more nuts than I am. Thanks again and congrats on Flashquake! D
Barry, thanx for your comments, and youre very right in your assessment of my piece. Part of being a parent is admitting how difficult it is and how we have moments of yearning for our freedom, while trying to see the tough moments in the most positive light. So althought it seems contradictory, being a parent Is just that! Thanx so much for your comments. I appreciate it..
Thanks, Barry, for your comments on Aerospace. White space. Nice when I can load it up and it works.
Barry, thank you! Someday I'll tell you about the time Alice Munro made me dinner :)
Thank you for your comment on Him and his father. I really appreciated your thoughts.
Thanks for the star and the kind words about "The High Line, NYC." "Wordsmith-Lady" made my day.
Thanks so much for your comment on Mother's Day. It still makes me laugh. My comment notifications are very delayed.
Barry, thanks for reading and commenting on "Honor Grade." There is nothing nicer to say than to be compared to Chekhov. It made me proud.
Hi Barry! Thank you for taking the time to read so many of my stories. Your comments are so appreciated. Good to "meet" you on here.
Sure. I'd be flattered.

Thanks, Barry. Loved "Period Piece." Deep, possibly the apotheosis that Beckett was working towards at the end.
"And the rest is silence."
thank you for your kind comment on "le sucre brun", barry. much appreciated.
Thanks for your feedback on "Flush"! I appreciate you taking the time to read it.

Hi Barry,
You're welcome re: your Feb 27 story. Great story!
Are we supposed to respond to wall posts? If so, I've been very rude. I'm quite a newbie around here and trying hard to learn the ropes.
Best, Bonnie
