Hi Bonnie. Thanks for searching out and reading "The Bed". I haven't posted anything new here in ages, but I like to stay connected to this site as much as I can.
B! thank you for your comments and faves! I miss you what is up? Will you ping me when you post something here? I am crazy busy but want to see everything... xo
Based on your story, a writers' community seems like a wild place! Instead of that, I've decided to leave NYC and relocate for a bunch of months, for love, in a tiny place in Washington State. Small but gorgeous, and it doesn't much matter where you are if it's love. I figure, aside from the potential writer-painter-rapist, the small town I am moving to temporarily might have the same feeling of an artists' colony, and probably triple the weirdness!
Bonnie, Thank you for the very nice comment on "Evil Humors." Our Maine Coon got over it, and now he's acting like the old Simba. Last evening he ran off a raccoon!
Thanks, Bonnie, for reading Atonement. I value your opinion very much. Your real estate lady is still one of my favorite characters since arriving here.
I'm clueless about the wall, too. I was thanking people for comments about a story on the page with the story, before I figured out that probably no one comes back to the story to receive the thanks. So I THINK the protocol is to respond to story comments on the commenter's wall, so the commenter "hears" you. Ha!
Hi Bonnie...nice to meet you and surprised we haven't bumped into each other earlier considering you were married to my wife for a good long stretch, well at least on facebook!
Hi, Bonnie! Glad you looked at "Still Life"--thank you. To answer your query, from the people I've worked with in this awful situation, the spouse can usually only handle it for a couple of years before they go batty themselves if they don't get out. If your partner only has access to the immediate few minutes and can no longer form new memory, he or she repeats the same stuff over and over again all day long, day after day, without realizing it. Imagine your spouse asking you the same question hundreds and hundreds of times a day. A hell, yes?
Thanks also for your great help on "Ethical Seduction"--the almost-smarmy lawyer character--the piece just got picked up by flashquake. So double-thanks, Bonnie! Be well.
Thank you, Bonnie, for faving "Before the Door." I'm glad you liked it!
