I used to work in Hollywood, analyzing scripts and novels. I did well in several screenwriting contests and almost sold a script to a major studio. After several months of development meetings, they opted not to pick it up.
Afterward, I re-discovered my first love: prose. Since 2008 I've been concentrating my efforts on literary short fiction. My stories have appeared or are forthcoming in Night Train, Annalemma Magazine, and Smokelong Quarterly.
I read for Carve Magazine.
I don’t want to write stories that make people dream; I want to write stories that wake people up.
Hey Sam! Always enjoyed your work when I read it on "Zoetrope". I look forward to reading more!
