I hate to be annoying (but I'm so good at it) but what happened to Model, did it get picked up by a mag? I'm in love with that story, woke up with it on my brain.
Hey GM, thanks for checking out "My Sweet Warrior." Quite happy to hear you liked it. I need to read me some more GM in the coming weeks. I look fwd to your WR piece. Let me know when it hits.
Reality imitating art? Your wall post made me (on an 0-78 run with SLQ) want to curl up in the fetal position. Okay, it's not an exact imitation. I am reaching up to type this from th floor..
I can certainly believe you're in there, but I know exactly what you mean. The ending of your story made me want to curl up in the fetal position. The ", too" line at the end was perfection.
Gary, thanks for commenting/faving the miscarriage excerpt. Confidence-building, for sure. I've been staying up all night for weeks writing it seems. I crashed last night - 9 hours of solid z's. Ready to jump back on the novel tonight.
hey, thanks g, glad you liked my tracy chapman piece. indeed, man, that timothy raymond piece is great. read it again this morning. i look to see more from him.
ha! i was just posting on your story only to hit send and find the story no longer existed. so many great lines (the amusement/wad of gum, etc.). the opening was great - image of the surgeon working with his eyes closed. so scary.
My compliments Gary. Perfect is extraordinary.

To me, the dialogue accomplished it all, characterization and plot, setting, etc. Stupid editors. ;-)

Gary, thanks so much for reading Survivor -- appreciate the kind words and fav. It's a story too near and dear to my heart. Peace...
Big congrats on Word Riot. You going to be in the March 15th issue? Yeah, Kevin O'Cuinn is a beast.
re. Erlewine's last comment: I'm in the fetal position right now after reading "Birdman." so good. off to read more Moshimer.

"Pubes still on the sheets, but we couldn't sleep anyway, with the drug deals going down in the hallway."
You had me at hello. Damn fine story in SLQ.
Thank you for saying you love the way my mind works. I wish I did! ha! That was such a nice thing to say.

"She asked me to strangle her and I almost didn’t let up in time."
One of the funniest, creepiest lines I've read. Nicely done.
