    I'm a freelance writer, Editor of Arts and Culture at The Nervous Breakdown, and lecturer at UTSA.     You mean ... I could have been doing something else this whole time?! Damnit.

    Any favorite authors? Books?

    Favorite authors. My goodness, this is like asking me who my favorite daughter is (the brown-headed one). BUT, I will tell you who I defer to regularly whenever I have writer's block: Michael Chabon, Joy Harjo, Cormac McCarthy, Derek Walcott, Louise Erdrich, Zadie Smith, Nick Hornby ....
