Indeed, Jeffrey McDaniel does teach at SLC. I'm not in the poetry program, so I won't have him as a teacher, but I heard him read at a faculty reading and he was really great.
25 does seem like a good age for big changes, especially the grown up kind. If only willpower were the gift the universe delivered for the occasion! I'm not finding that to be too true, unfortunately, but maybe it's just lost in the mail.
I enjoy your writing and am glad were Ficionaut friends!
Thanks for the post, Corey! While I have not yet become a verb, I have been very active, so I suppose I'm on my way. Things are good here, and I hope the same with you. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work soon-- Didn't you just have something come out online?
Hey, thanks Corey! The MA's going well so far (though I haven't been workshopped yet, gulp) - I'm blogging about it at www.not-exactly-true.co.uk. You've got a dead impressive list of publications up there, I'll be checking them out!
Hey Corey,
Thanks for the note on my page a few months back and sorry to not have looked you up sooner. I've been busy with my new baby, as I see you have been too. Congrats on papahood. Hope you're all feeling fabulous.
Best,
c
Hey Corey, my pleasure. I had just now commented on your newest when I saw your message. I thought this dude is quick! Ha, I can see I've loved two of yours now. Man, very inspiring work...nothing at all like I write (which is partly why it's so great for me to read it I think).
Haven't been here in a while, so I *just* saw the comment you left back in November! I'm a stoop. Sorry. Anyway, yes, an anthology of writers' kid stories would be awesome. Do I really have to edit it myself?
Hi Corey, Thanks for the note.Yes! Lou was Delmore's student at Syracuse, and dedicated a few songs to him!...I wish more people knew about him and his life. I'm going to read your posted stories shortly!... all best, Jessica
Hey, Corey. Thanks for the note... I think I am writing an encyclopedic, as in massive and protracted, post-modern, as in information-based but tragic, story about snow and ice. Hoping to post some ice cores soon on Fictionaut!
HI Corey. Nice list of pubs there—hope it keeps rolling for you. Parenthood is pretty amazing; I’ve got a 3.5 and 1.5 year old (both boys) and it has shifted my writing time a lot. Have to fight for the hours/minutes. On the other hand, I screw around far less—no time to waste any more! Good luck with that adventure.—Steve
Hi Corey,
In answer to your question, that would be a giant fork. It was hanging on the wall in the apartment where I was at dinner. I used it to eat my dessert. So...yeah?
Hi Corey,
thanks so much for your message, glad you liked my story. It's part of my new collection (quick and subtle promotional plug!), The White Road and other stories, http://www.thewhiteroadandotherstories.com/. If you want more, that's a great place to start! I haven't quite worked out how to use Fictionaut, haven't posted anything here yet, but I look forward to getting to know everyone.
You guessed right. I'm the one in the middle in the purple and blue dress.
Are you in the Snovigate anthology? I'm in there, too. And my story is actually called "The Telemarketer's Point of View." I hope you get a kick out of it. I will look for your work!
Honestly, I don't know when Wolverine wouldn't kick some ass. I used to not be a big fan of him but ever since the Ultimate stuff I think he's great. And yes, The Walking Dead is great. I'm working on a comic right now that's a supernatural thriller. I was talking to an editor at Vertigo, so hopefully something happens with it. (fingers crossed!!).
Hope you enjoy the McS jokes. As soon as I can get the story posting function to work, I plan to toss up some longer humorous prose here. As inept as I am with computers, it could be years.
Wow. You're email was so kind. It was my pleasure to give you "advice" on home birth, which really turned out to be more of a made-for-tv-movie expression of emotion. I rambled, but you were still receptive. What a fantastic journey you and your girlfriend are on! Again, congratulations.
Hey, Corey--
Sorry I've been out of touch. How is everything? What's the news?
mm
Thanks for note, Corey. I'll certainly check out your work.

Hey Corey! Yeah, Magic Helicopter is something I started up by myself a few years ago. It is fun. Hope you are doing well!
Well, for five dollars - the cost of a fancy cup of coffee, with tip - you can at least put the chapbook in your lap.
I'm basically chilling. What is happening.

Corey, not cold enough to get numb yet, though for some reason I can't wait.

You are rolling my friend.
Hi Corey. Keep singing...
Wow! Thanks! Now if only I can get organized enough to actually write some fiction.
Honestly, I don't know when Wolverine wouldn't kick some ass. I used to not be a big fan of him but ever since the Ultimate stuff I think he's great. And yes, The Walking Dead is great. thanks for saying so, Corey... this makes me happy....
Hope you enjoy the McS jokes. As soon as I can get the story posting function to work, I plan to toss up some longer humorous prose here. As inept as I am with computers, it could be years.
Thanks for the kind words Corey. Congratulations on the little one to come. How exciting!
Hello Corey!
Thanks for your extremely kind words. Look forward to reading more of yours.
Marcy
Hello, rightbackatcha, and congrats on the baby.
Appreciate the kudos, Corey. Keep up the good work yourself and get to Buffalo soon. Maybe the Lady in White will join us for a pint.
Corey, how very kind you are. I'm very pleased to hear that you still enjoy 'elimae' and hope that enjoyment continues! Have a great weekend.
Babies are beautiful! In my experience, many of them like to be bundled. At least, at first they do.

Doing well; thanks, Corey. Hey, congratulations! When do you become a daddy?
Corey, thanks. I think we are reading together in Buffalo--yes, you are reading right? I do know about the bubble man you mentioned!
Thanks for the compliment on Dear England, Corey! I'm looking forward to reading some of your work. -- kate
"Hey Corey,
It's nice to hear from you. I'll be looking to see your work in that anthology too. How cool!
Hope all is well with you.
