My latest novel, Truth or Something Like It, from Casperian Books, is now out. Last fall Press 53 released my story collection, Bad Monkey. My two previous books were The Species Crown (stories, Press 53) and Sound and Noise (novel, Casperian Books). This coming fall, Sunnyoutside will publish my essay collection, The Agnostic's Prayer. My stories and essays have appeared in over fifty literary journals and have been cited by The Best American Short Stories, The Best American Mystery Stories, and The Best American Spiritual Writing.
I write because I can't draw so good.
Milan Kundera, Andre Dubus, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ellen Gilchrist, Richard Ford, Tobias Wolff, Rick Bass, Heinrich Boll, John Williams, Thomas McGuane, Richard Yates, Flannery O'Conner . . . to name a few.
high five! on your wall!
Hey, Curtis,
Ditto! I've got your signed books on my handy coffee table, both awaiting my reading pleasure! Hope you're doing well. :)
All warmest and best, H
Hey Curt! Marc S. invited me to join, so now I'm here. Love the snowman. Launched Christine's book yesterday and it was a blast! See you soon.
Hi Curtis. I like your picture. Bob Eckstein, who also belongs to Fictionaut, wrote the definitive book on the history of snowmen, if you are curious.
Hi Curtis! Just decorating your wall.
