Gods Sense of Humor (April Fools Challenge)

I wonder, God. Do you sit around and play with the universe like it was your Wii? Or your Farmville? Or maybe your little iphone app? I mean, really. Did it ever occur to you that the little men, women and children on your screen actually bleed? Do you think its okay to give us a little shake and then say “oops, my bad”..? Or when you launch that meteor button on a course towards earth and have it veer off at the last moment, to say “ha, just kidding”!? And I really don't like it when you make us humans get involved in wars for your amusement. Its not funny and your sense of humor stinks.

Funny, funny stuff, and still retains power. I like the inclusion of Wii, Farmville and iphone. It blends the silliness of today with the silliness of the all-mighty.

Sara, I can't decide what I think about this story. On the one hand, it feels more rantish than narrative. But reading more into it, I seem to wonder if maybe it is about being a sore loser. About losing trust in faith. Well done regardless.

Kevin, thanx for your comments and it WAS a kind of rant, which was the idea. It started off with a friend and I discussing Gods sense of humor and i was thinking well i dont like it much. And the april fools day challenge words "just kidding" fit right into it. So I think the rant idea was fitting for this. And yes, i know the meteor thing happens all the time, we just dont know about it! Thanx for commenting much appreciated.
Imagining God busy at Wii - I'll have to pause for a minute. I could stay with that for a long, long time. Great piece, Sara. Enjoyed this.
