About Me

I write fiction. It is my first love. Visit Beyond Baroque Bookstore and Venice Beach, where we have so many special events for writers. You can find me there much too often, if you're in my neck of the woods.

I have been published in many literary journals, all print, and ages ago. Rusty now, I am stair-stepping back. I chose, for many years to pursue a career in design and architecture. My husband and I have two children and three King Charles Spaniels.

This is (as you may have guessed) my writing name. I strongly believe anonymity is important as an artist in the internet age, and especially when raising a family. Cheers!

Why do you write?

Black tea, green tea and oolong.

Any favorite authors? Books?

too many to name. would be impossible in a box!

Hi Gerta, thanks for reading my work and the faves you gave to "Ten Notes" and "Blue Lips & Buckled Fingers." I really appreciate the generous support.

Meg Pokrass, hello. What are you up to these days? Any readings in LA? Do you get down here? I live very close to West LA, and if doing a reading at Beyond Baroque, drop me a line.

Gerta - thank you for your comment on my story "The Tangle". I'm so glad you asked me to invite you. I very much enjoyed meeting you at the Mechanics reading. Sounds like you make it north a lot, hope to run into you again in SF. Looking forward to reading your work here on Fictionaut.
