we wanted summer:
Distillers at Myhalyk's
all those cancelled shows
ice glazes stone steps
scattering woodstove ashes
all the ways we fall
still mourning old lies
awakening is lonely
without certainties
house at a crossroads,
blue TV light flickering:
welcome prodigal

Love it.

Beautiful. Love the opening, that colon, perfect pause. Love them all.
Lovely.
A shared lament for all the cancelled shows.
Good set, Mark.
I like these and particuarly like the first one. (I wonder if it's because it is the only one without a gerund?) Good stuff. *
James, Diane, Steve, Sam, John- Thanks for reading, and for your feedback. Much appreciated.
Late to the party, but I wanted time to mull them over. The mulling is over, and...I like them!
I like them all - especially "still mourning old lies" *
