inspired by a lunch conversation with a friend, Mathew Paust, who walked on Aug. 26, 2021. You all knew him...he encouraged my writing(wanted and unwanted advice!) Love him or hate him...I'll post more info in the forum later.
Plenty of high octane here! *
My favorite part is the second and third stanza.
Good shifting from "radioactive decay" to the secrets of Machu Picchu. I like the poem.
*, Kitty. Nice work. I like the 3-4-3 form you chose.
"You said, 'I'll take you to Paris.'
Hemingway's address is still in your notebook, I saw it."
The voice and rhythm here. Very nice.
Sad truth.
"Why not Machu Picchu, too?
I hear it holds secrets,"
Really enjoyed this.
"Hemingway's address is still in your notebook, I saw it."
Especially liked this line.
