by Jill Chan
I've been living
this day in many.
But always one
at a time.
When I plan,
it is with an eye
to disappointment.
To be graceful
in some things
is a happy encouragement.
When we are given
eternity, as a night
is eternal,
the walls open
into the vast opportunity.
When we are taken
from our disenchantments,
we may fall,
but we do it
with strangeness,
without night.

Some hard-won wisdom, artfully dispensed.
"When I plan,
it is with an eye
to disappointment."
Wise but also sad.
Thank you Mathew, and Erika. :)
Haunting poem.
Thank you, Bill!
When we are given
eternity, as a night
is eternal,

into the vast opportunity.
