The Artist Wannabe

I wanted to be an artist in those days. 

I wanted to put meaning on a cabbage head, 

but only put a shower cap on it. 

I tried to claim Hot Weather 

as an ongoing, open-air environmental art piece 

that was always happening 

somewhere in the world. 

But the famous art teacher told me: 

“Nevermind. Let's just rap.”
