I was sitting in Prague
having breakfast on 9/11
near the Astronomical Clock
while the world was bombing ISIS
the sons of ex-Nazis
sitting at a table nearby
and old apparatchiks
leisurely eating sausages
while the world took a moment
to remember 9/11 or maybe nothing
maybe the world
took no pause
and the wars swirled past
in the eternal struggle and eddies
while the tourists and the pigeons
paraded past outside the
sumptuous feast of breakfast
beside the Astronomical Clock

Tough stuff. It does seem like there deadly fighting everywhere and always. spf *
We'll keep fighting till the money runs out or the water or the air.
I was just thinking, we've been at war now for years and years. Most of my youngest son's life. Meanwhile it took us what 25 years to build a bridge. Christ.
