All will be well.
Have no fear.
Sanity will be restored.
The chickens will come home to roost.
The fatted calf will be burned in effigy
Ground into slurry then fed to the chickens.
The Mountain will walk to Mohammed.
Jesus will walk on the water.
Judas will walk on a technicality.
Committees will be appointed.
The results of the study will be inconclusive.
The commissioners will stand by their decision.
The leak will be plugged.
The real killer will be found.
No child will be left behind.
The mission will be accomplished.
Sanity will be restored.
Have no fear.
All will be well.
Two additional lines came to mind while I was reading:
"Do not adjust your set."
and
"Objects may appear closer than they are."
Feel free to include these if you think they're right.
Like what you've got going here. Hope you're going to continue to play with it.Can I play too?
Thanks, Sally. Yes, please, play along if you like!
I like. And I haven't even drank the Kool-Aid.
I'm swimming in the mountain berry kool-aid with FDA approved dolphins. Do not drown under penalty of the law.
Thanks, JMC!
Misti, stay in the shallow end!
I've been working on a poem very similar to this, but mine is terrible and yours is great.
Enjoyed, Sean. Well done!

haha the shallow end is where i live, Sean
Haven't been in the shallow end in years myself, Misti, never been able to resist the lure of the deep.
Well done, Sean. Really like the hard, direct voice in this. Effective. *
What everyone else said... will say. I love the shape of this. Is that strange? Words should take a shape on a page; they should look right. This is righteous looking and reading work.
Cliched phrases strung together to make a bracelet of brilliance.
Fine work. *
Great creation, and sanity has been restored by this alone.
'Judas will walk on a technicality'... Nice!
You've been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest cuz this is hotter than a pistol and a two-peckered billy goat. But maybe I'm just being cautiously optimistic! Judas got a bum trap anyway! Good one Sean! *
Can I fave Michael's comment above? Love the piece and all the lively commentary - can't give you another * though.
How did I miss this? Love the passive (aggressive) tone in this. All will certainly be well (or else!) Good stuff.*
Amen...
The sly lines slipped here and there are perfect. Great and I feel better already. *
