A nun once told me to watch my tongue.
This is not an easy thing to do.
I've recently developed an infatuation with Lydia Davis.
Yes! Wonderful.
Now this piece could get you the ruler! Love it.
Before I saw your Author’s Note, I was going to comment, “how Lydia Davis of you”! Ha ha. I’ve been there with that infatuation.
But this two-liner is great! Ms. Davis couldn’t have done it any better.
You're right. I tried it. It ain't easy.
Loved how this can be read a number of different ways! Figuratively and literally.
Thanks everyone! Cherise - I like that it can be taken different ways as well. Nicole - I try not to get close enough where a ruler can be used!
Yes, I get it - laughed out loud. Def fav!
tee hee :0). Actually, I tried watching my tongue once. I couldn't see it for the life of me. It was too firmly pressed in-cheek. Okay, lame pun. Seriously, clever little piece.
Touche!
great! I would come back to read this again and again, but I think I'm just gonna remember this one easily and frequently and laugh when I do.
great!*
