The Forest, and Other Shorts

I am not the
largest animal
in the forest
because the
forest itself
is an animal
but I am the
only thing the
shape of me
Faerie
She was tiny and bright and
when I touched her glowing parts
I received a shake of electricity that
made me question my humanity.

of sparrows eat french
fries. I like fries.
And I like sparrows.

in that shoe

Author's Note
Recently I've been experimenting with a shorter form. Here are some first examples. I've written dozens of these things now. The point is to not complicate the essence, but to let it be itself. I quite like the results. It seems pure to me. But it's harder to do than it looks. Still I'm glad these came out the way they did.
