    I'm an author who has sponsored and/or participated in readings throughout the Midwest and east coast, including the west coast.

    I consider the focus of my work to be short stories and flash fiction, having appeared in multiple journals online and in print. I run a small blog and former small chapbook press (Burning River.)

    Why do you write?

    People. I have no greater faith as a way to describe the world than other human beings. The capacities and capabilities to change our lives and become truly happy or altogether completely different over a lifetime is the most powerful thing I've discovered in my life.

    Any favorite authors? Books?

    Hempel, Eggers, Kerouac, Whitman. I've liked Robert Bly's Iron John in recent years, as well as memoirs and non-fiction, including Patti Smith, Anne Dillard, Mary Oliver
