I suppose the lazy trees would have a thing or two
To say about love
All twirled and wrapped into the leaves and branches
Of the other
At the top of their sky
Never having to get out of bed.

A walk to a cafe, I considered the life of the leafy tree tops in spring. Okay, it's true I envied them a bit just coming out of a relationship. I liked the thought of their peace and constancy.
I like the imagery in this. Good read, Niya. Enjoyed.
Thank you Sam -- it's just a simple thought...likely doesn't qualify for a poem, but enjoyed the thought. ; )
Makes me smile. peace...
"All twirled and wrapped up...". You should keep going with this one. Something tells you got more to say...
Thank you Linda. That makes me feel so good.
Gessy... yes I thought about that, and yet when I tried to add more it didn't flow. Seems those trees just wanted a little envy from me. Like a photographed moment of their solitude and joy.
Beautiful and beautifully observed.
Darryl, I love that. Thank you!!!!
