by Jerry Ratch
Getting up and reading his poem
The stuffy poet sitting back down
On the leather couch, which creaks under his weight
After adjusting his narrow tie from the 1980's
The stuffy poet clearing his throat, twice,
During an enemy's reading
The stuffy poet accepting his prize
The stuffy poet clean-shaven
After many years with a full beard
The stuffy poet playing baseball
That's right, baseball
Let's see, ahem, what's next?
Oh, yes, the stuffy poet getting paid
By the academy of Equally Stuffy Poets
The ESP

I love him clearing his throat twice during his enemy's reading and ESP. Stuffed with fave*.
Getting paid for poetry would be my kind of stuffy.

Made me laugh. *
