Sister Helen's sleeping in the back, Sandy's at the wheel, I'm in the passenger seat musing to the music when a song jolts my memory. Images of my recently deceased husband, Dan, cascade into my consciousness. He's happy. I want to stay there with him. As the song concludes, his image fades. I press: 'Replay.'

Nice! *
This is so incredibly human, it's glorious.
Good compressed piece, J Mykell. Great closing.
Hi, MaryAnne. Thanks. I appreciate. Yes, that particular video has something special about it. Nina was going through some heavy changes, obviously, and it shows in her musical performance, her facial expressiveness, her every gesture. She started my tears flowing, also, for her and for my character.
Hi, Bobbi. Thanks. I appreciate. That line replaced about three paragraphs of description when I trimmed it down for a quick post.
Hi, Kait. I like the way you stated that. 'Incredibly Human and Glorious,' would make a nice title for a book. Thanks, I appreciate.
Hi, Sam. Thanks. Compressed, yes. I gathered material and wrote the story and then I cut its heart out in a flash, wiped the blood off, and posted it.
I like the fact that this is so tight. I want to know what song was that jogged her memory. Nice work.
Oh, Nina Simone, great one.
Hi, Isabell. Thanks. Yes, the 55 words are wrapped tightly around the song with everything else cut away, except the tears.
"I gathered material and wrote the story and then I cut its heart out in a flash, wiped the blood off, and posted it."
Liked the piece even before I read your artist's statement about its composition, but that made my admiration moreso.

Hi, Bill. Thanks. I appreciate.
Now I'm stuck with some pretty good material needing a new heart to become a story. No rest for the wicked!
Very cool. *
Little ado about much. *
Hi, James. Thanks. Sorry for not responding sooner. I don't know how I missed your comment unil now.
Hi, Beate. Thanks. I like your summation.
