One of Shakespeare’s destroyed innocent, of course. The poem grew out of a Pre-Raphaelite painting by John Everett Millais that I like of drowned Ophelia with her floating “fair fey hair.“ The poem’s currently in the Dec. 2012 issue of Halfway Down the Stairs:
