If you could change a fact of human biology, what would you change?
We should find some remedy for the fact that youth is wasted on the young.
The need for sleep. It's such a waste of time.
Our brains would not function at all were it not for sleep. We'd all be psychotic. I'd go for planning our own set weight point and being able to stick to it.
Not to get too political, but it would be very wonderful if we could control our own reproductive choices without mechanical or chemical assistance.
I'd fix baldness, although it doesn't bother me, and it's kind of appealing.
Teeth. I'd make teeth lower maintenance. Maybe I'd make them regenerate. Or we'd have so many we wouldn't care, like sharks.
I'd like to look less ridiculous whilst sneezing.
Shrink the brain to a point where it is incapable of fucking up the planet or enlarge it to the point where it truly understands.
Having our brains function without sleep then.
We'd fuck up the planet MORE without sleep, but I agree with Gary. There is something very screwed up with the issue of DENIAL in our brains.
Defensives
More and better endorphins.
Jesus Gloria.
It is becoming evident that my body is more of a Jeep than a BMW. More of a fake Rolex than a real one. Dammit.
A very well-crafted fake, but still.
I miss being able to breathe underwater.
I'm with Lynn. First thing I'd do is change reproductive/sexual mechanics.
More than one other sex. More than black and white. More than Republican and Democrat. More, More, More.
That each of us could make love to either sex in one body.
I'd like to be able to slouch without developing bad posture.
Better feet. What's with all the toes, anyway?
Please... don't take away my sleep. That's where all my stories percolate.
Sleep does seem to be a major factor in health, but what about dreaming? I wish we were better able to control our dreaming into small acts of waking kindness.Less hostility in all directions. Better caring on our part for the earth and the animals, including ourselves.
