I am a member of the IWW http://www.iww.org/

I seem to have a talent for being the guy the one asshole in the crowd always singles out to go after. How I got so lucky is beyond me.

Why do you write?

I don't know. What I do know is that writing isn't good just because it exists. If it doesn't connect to someone else it's just masturbation.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Bruno Schulz. Nikolai Gogol. Naguib Mahfouz. Shakespeare. Dylan Thomas.

Bob, I hope my effusive praise for "Night Journey" didn't queer things for you with the elders here, being that I'm a new guy and that traditionally on every playground new guys are supposed to keep their mouths shut except to murmur along modestly with general consensus until accepted in one of the less outer circles of approval, and I'm perfectly willing to play that game, being just another naked ape and all, but I'll be damned if I'm going to sit by and pretend something's just OK when it lands in front of me and I can see with my 71-year-old stranger's eyes that it stands out so magnificently it's time to set the kiddie play aside and shout: HEY, YOU GUYS! READ THIS, DAMMIT, AND ACKNOWLEDGE ITS EXCELLENCE!

I linked to it on Facebook. This is the best thing I've seen on Fictionaut yet. Keep writing, buddy!

Thanks, Bob, on "Twedes" -- neat that voice (a word you've said before, here, bogleisms) continue(s) across formal lines.

Ann Bogle – Nov 13, 2011

Welcome, Bob!
