Edward Ogle the Third
by Peter Erich
Assimilated wheat germ
integrated ant worm
the capital of Brazil.
Gram-rock perm
the airplane squirm
the camel of Bummer Hill.
New appendages
sexy beverages
picked from the landfill.
Three dollar tax return
born in a thunderstorm
holding a daffodil.
Sitting in a space trapeze
petting supply chain geese
packed to the gill.
Left to be read
on the bedspread
alone with a fungicide pill.
I like this.
Fun to read, too. *
I'm going to have to steal the phrase "gram-rock perm," I'm afraid. ;) This is a fun piece.
Smile.

lower-case Brazil?
lc Bummer Hill?
only one gill?
I'm trying to picture an ant worm. The least disturbing of my options is a very tiny parasite that lives on (or in) ants. I imagine them as translucent filaments. After that it just gets weird.
*"alone with a fungicide pill" might just be roaming around in my brain all day.*
