Paratrooping dandelions invade
St. Augustine and, eastward, on a breeze,
Bermuda. They hunger for new real estate
and those resources underground
that photosynthesize to blazing yellow flags
that mark the growing dandelion frontier.
Well done. Evoked the image of a Risk board, colored flags slowing moving outward as lands are conquered. Fires mental connections with fighting against the weeds each spring. Great blend of meaning and imagery.
