I know he's pretty new here and I'm not sure how many people know him well, but I just saw on his facebook page that he's had a heart attack and is in the hospital. (He's well enough to post on facebook, so that's something.)
How bizarre and unfortunate.
Get well, Adam!
I wondered about him. He started the critique group and then disappeared. He has a unique comic voice and a marvelously weird imagination. His story, "Commute", is the first and only piece I have ever read with a zombie as protagonist. It is also one of the most entertaining stories I have read, anywhere. It's the first chapter of his novel, "I've Been Deader", for which I posted a promotional piece (disguised as a review) on Amazon. I posted it here, too, under a title that advised readers to pee first before reading (meaning the book, not my piece)- http://fictionaut.com/stories/mathew-paust/urgent-breathers-pee-before-reading-this-novel
Get better, Adam, and protect that brain pan!
Oh, how awful. Send him our best!
Mathew, Adam's funny as hell. Did you see his post in the starting a novel discussion? I nearly peed myself. (Seriously, it was like *this* close.)
Frankie, I try to read everything of his I find. Please keep us posted and give him my best.
Thanks all. Looks like I will be okay. Looking forward to participating more here and watching Frankie pee herself, now that it's essentially turned into a challenge.
Also, so far I have sold my book to two nurses and one doctor, so it hasn't been a total loss.
Even if it happens, I'm not posting proof, Adam.
We'll welcome you back with open, uh, critiques.
Adam, I hope you're back to full speed weird and funny soon.
Adam, get well.
Adam, glad you're on the mend. Peace...
Adam, glad to hear your voice again.
god speed to full health!
Feel better, Adam!
