I'm a 23-year-old writer, freelance editor, publishing intern and barista. I'm working on my first novel, and kind of dipping my toes into my second, noncommittally. I wear red lipstick pretty much all the time.

Why do you write?

I am fuelled mainly on sugar, loneliness, and fairytales.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Angela Carter, forever. Ben Marcus, George Saunders, Eliot Weinberger, Margaret Atwood, China Mieville, Cormac McCarthy, David Foster Wallace, Stuart Dybek, John Steinbeck, Malcolm Lowry. This question is totally hard. Can I say all of the good ones?
