I am a stay at home dad, and part time handyman. I collect and restore antique aircooled Volkswagens and collect and repair computers for fun.

Why do you write?

I write the stories that I want to read. The stories seem to just come to me and beg to be written.

Any favorite authors? Books?

I like anything by Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert, Tolkien, and C. S. Lewis. I am an avid Science Fiction reader, and I occasionally read Fantasy. I enjoy both genres, but I am annoyed that they are often lumped together.

I tried to add the science fiction to the vampire genre with MY story. At least if I am going to pound a square peg into a round hole, I can polish the peg a bit before hitting it.

Hi Hugh. I too get very annoyed with the way science fiction and fantasy are lumped together. It happens with film and television also... like, where's the scientific bit about vampires? etc.
