AJ Lowell was born in San Diego California, to a large Irish family of educators and military men. He grew-up in the inner-city, having never gone to the same school twice. Socially introverted he read voraciously. At the age of seventeen he was emancipated by his mother and joined the United States Army. He served for eight years in the infantry, being spared the first Gulf-War, Panama, and Somalia. He has travelled the world and says thank you in fourteen different languages. He attended college at Mt. San Jacinto in Menifee California studying fine arts, philosophy & motion pictures. He is both a scholar and a toastmaster, able to speak with authority on any variety of subjects…from multiple points of view. Today he lives in Fort Worth Texas near his family, working as a marketing consultant for two Fortune 500 companies.
Who doesn't love a great story? We all do. We all grew-up reading stories or watching them played-out from one medium to another!
Dee Brown's "Bury my Heart on Wounded Knee." I sat for a half-hour after finishing it and just wept.
Frank Herbert's "Dune." A saga so big...Literature is the only medium able to tell the story without suffering from kidney-failure in a movie theater!
