Love the sound and shape but don't understand the reference "Warwick/ on water." It would resonate more if I did.
Walk on by was a song sung by Dionne Warwick. I was trying ( perhaps too hard ) to be clever. Hence the crickets. Hey. They can't all be gems. :)
I stumbled on Warwick also, but it was due to the haste of the reader and not the skill of the writer. It was a reference that was easily recognizable, and I apologize for reading fast because the piece was short. It's a bit of a gem.
