I watched some of the new HBO comedy "How To Make It In America" and the only funny thing was how much I wanted to punch the lead actors in the face. I'd probably rent arms from a homeless person so I could do so but medical technology isn't that advanced. So instead, I give you this.
'...the psoriasis of pornography' - that's a phrase and a half.
I hear ya, but truly loving New York is like loving your child: it becomes something you wish it hadn't but you suffer with it and love it anyway and it always comes back to you.
Well put, Robb.
"The punchable faces in Manhattan multiply like cancer"--true
"the psoriasis of pornography"--wow
yep. well-done.
not a big fan of Sex and (in?) the City? Yeah, that new show looks about as obnoxious as that one.
Love this...the psoriasis line is a beaut.
I was just there last week and even in Midtown, it's dirty. Where's the grit?
Try Bushwick, Wash Heights, Bronx next time.
Robb, I used to live in the Bronx when I was a kid (Decatur Ave).
Ah, nice. I just moved from the BX to Inwood. I liked it across the river. Had that gritty, old NYC feel to it. Inwood has a little grit too, but it's definitely Manhattan. I'm right across the street from the Cloisters and Ft Tryon Park.
