Meg also wrote a lovely review of our book here at this link!
Amazing how sane and sense-making two crazy people can seem in a three-person interview format. I'll leave it to the readers of the interview to suss who is who is who. Seriously, inspiring material here about the creation of character, how character creates indelible text, and how character takes over creator.
Great interview. Enjoyed.
thanks to all. i was in roma when trying to respond to meg's questions, which were wonderful & invasive--felt like whoa---did she really ask THAT? @ jim, i certanly volunteer for crazy, having spent the entire day in that zip code today. if character can take over creator, then wish it would happen today. would love to shed this particular skin.
many many thanks to meg and also to susan tepper, for this interview.
thanks also to meg and connotation press for publishing my short story "Offering." susan has some terrific stories over there as well, check it out--
Sam & James, thank you both for reading our interview!
Gary, it is always a wild and wooley ride with you!
And of course the BIGGEST THANKS TO MEG TUITE for her huge generosity!
Susan and Gary, this was a wonderful interview, and the stories were great.
Also, Meg was a great interviewer.
wonderful interview, just had a chance to read last night. and wonderful to get more insight into you and Gary's thought processes on writing your wondermous book. Meg was a super interviewer. Peace...
thanks, linda---though in my case, is probably overly generous to refer to "thought processes"---ha ha
you R V kind, grazie mille
Estelle & Linda, so many thanks! Wasn't Meg Tuite the most amazing interviewer?? I loved her questions which were both provocative and thoughtful. It was so much fun doing this interview!
Loved the interview. Congratulations Susan and Gary and thank you Meg for interviewing them. It was really wonderful!
Awesome interview. Kudos and congrats.
thanks, jules
Gloria & Jules, many thanks for your good words.
clever, deep, personal and informing. loved it.
Marcus, thank you! You were one of the book's first readers, and we so much appreciate all your support!
All right! Great stuff! (But I'm betting had you met, the book still would have been written. Somethings are just fated.)
