Great, great, great interview!
(darryl's going to be *so* excited!)
Marcus who? Just kidding. Great interview.
It's great. Enjoyed it, Marcus & Gloria.
Great interview. Loved the ponderings of short versus long fiction. Peace...
I agree with the rest: a satisfying conversation with Marcus Speh. I liked all of it, read it intently. A few spots will remain with me: Gardner's long quote (following the link) about fictional pointillism. I was not Gardner's student, but I went to his school after he died in '82 -- I was there in Binghamton in '86 -- and assistant-edited his former magazine, MSS.: how I miss those days!
"I have a much easier time playing with English as material for linguistic sculpting."
Cool sentence (above) from the mastermind of Finnegan Flawnt (RIP).
Pure Speh.
Good interview, Marcus. Thank you, Gloria.
Nice!
Great read. Fictional pointillism- Yes. Thanks Gloria & Marcus!
Thanks so much everyone. I am so happy that you like his interview.
You're right Matt! Is there anybody more interesting to read than Marcus? The guy is a total original, and I don't care when he started--I now can't imagine the literary world being any fun without him. He's just too important of a writer to ignore.Gloria thank you.
Thanks Darryl. I think he is original and amazing too! the literary world is so much richer.
