It's finally posted, so I can talk about it. My short story, Knitting the Unraveled Sleeves has been selected for an Editor's Choice Award in the Eric Hoffer Prose Award competition and will be included in the annual anthology of short prose, Best New Writing 2013. The book will be available in early October.

Most excellent, Sir James! A hearty congrats!
I notice your title is about knitting the unraveled sleeve, and another title is a blue sweater. The serendipity made me smile. Peace...
Thanks, guys. Serendipity... one of the best words in the language.

Well deserved. You are a top notch writer, JLD. Congratulations!
It's quite nice enough to be included in a decent anthology, and a bonus to get an award in the process. Makes all the long hours worthwhile.
Thanks, guys.
Congratulations! What a great honor!

Now, it's time to get one of these novels in print.
Congratulations, James. I'll have a glass of champagne in your honor. Maybe three.

Felicidades James! Looking forward to reading it.
Congratulations, James!
Way to go, James!
Thanks. I won't go all cliche and say how humbled I am. Truth to tell, I'm quite proud of this. If you're at all like me, your stories, your novels, your poems are like your children, though in a lesser way. So when they do good, you can't help but turn around and anthropomorphise in a good way. You smile and say, "Hey, that's my kid!"
It's a great honor. Congrats, James!
