About Me

I am originally from the US but I've lived in Austria off and on for nearly 25 years. I am a fulltime translator, German to English, mainly for art museums, galleries, and artists. Sometimes I write and publish articles in local Viennese magazines. I'm also a swim coach, masters swimmer and sometimes I do other "fun" things like triathlons or marathons or long biking adventures(with tents and panniers).

Why do you write?

My creativity is sparked by many random things and the fuel that it burns comes from the desire to feel connected - to use writing as a way of speaking "with the oneness of the world" in a VERY nonesoteric sense!

Any favorite authors? Books?

I admire the writing styles of Salinger, Hemingway, Stein, and Grace Paley and am also very intrigued by the stories of Kafka and Lewis Carroll

Hi Anne, I would be glad to have a look at it... can you send a digital document? Is it based on a particular true story?
