About Me

I've lived near Seattle for the past two years, but my heart is in Colorado and my roots are in Illinois, where I was born. This urban-coastal thing is new to me and it still kind of feels like wearing shoes three sizes too big.

I'm working on a novel. I fall asleep thinking about it and wake up still thinking about it. I suspect this isn't healthy.

Why do you write?

I want my readers to experience moments of lives they don't live.

Any favorite authors? Books?

I love Nick Hornby, Haruki Murakami, Banana Yoshimoto, Marisa de los Santos, Michael Chabon, and Neil Gaiman. And others. Lots of others.
