I write for the LA Times book blog, Jacket Copy, and review books. I'm either happily revising or trying to drown the novel I wrote in grad school, which I finished in May. I miss the Pittsburgh's $1.50 drafts of Yuengling.

Why do you write?

Some writing is easy. Some writing is hard. Blogging, though, has done wonders for keeping my ass in the chair.
